Martin Black Florida Sessions Accommodations 2025 Mae & Emmett Whitehurst

Please check weather conditions for your session. Florida can be quite variable even though Martin requests warm and sunny days with a slight breeze.
Accommodations:

Haul-ins: $10 per day/per horse
Stall: $15/day (you clean) or $30/day (cleaned 1x/day). Open stalls are 12 x 24.
RV hook up: $25/day. Only two 30 amp available, power adaptor needed for 110V.
Hotel:
Bunk house style barn apartment has several beds available. $30/night
Air B and B: several nice small places in town. Most convenient. Book via Air B&B.
Gainesville: approximately 15 miles north. Many options at I-75 exit #382 & #384.
World Equestrian Center: 25 miles. “The Equestrian” is open.
Ocala hotels: approximately 28-35 miles.( Hwy 27 and interstate 75 would be best)

Cattle Fee: $60 per 3 day session or $20 per day
The sessions are held at a private residence and participants are encouraged to communicate with the owners about specific needs or questions.

Auditing is $30 per day, per person – 10 minutes or all day.  Please bring a chair, bag lunch and your own drinks.  The auditing fee is to be paid directly to Martin Black unless otherwise noted upon the time of arrival at the Whitehurst’s Ranch.
